1. About Helsingin Retkiluistelu ja Luonto

Helsingin Retkiluistelu ja Luonto provides guided outdoor activities and equipment rentals in natural environments. Our aim is to offer safe and inspiring nature experiences on wild ice, in the archipelago, and other seasonal settings.

2. Orders and Bookings

Bookings can be made through our online store or by email. A booking becomes binding once payment is completed.
Please provide accurate contact details when booking, and inform us in advance of any relevant health conditions that might affect your participation.

3. Payments

All payments are processed securely through Visma Pay (Visma Payments Ltd, business ID 2486559-4).
We accept the following payment methods:

  • Credit and debit cards (Visa, Visa Electron, Mastercard, Maestro)

  • Finnish online banks

  • Mobile payments (MobilePay, Siirto, Pivo)

  • Epassi, Smartum and Edenred for eligible services

If you use Epassi, Smartum or Edenred, please follow the payment instructions shown in the online store.

4. Cancellations and Changes

You may cancel your booking free of charge up to 7 days before the scheduled activity.
For cancellations made 3–6 days before, 50% of the participation fee will be refunded.
For cancellations made less than 3 days before, or in case of no-show, no refund will be issued.

If Helsingin Retkiluistelu ja Luonto must cancel a tour (e.g. due to unsafe ice or weather conditions), you may choose between:

  • transferring your booking to another date,

  • switching to an alternative activity (such as kick-sledding), or

  • receiving a full refund.

If fewer than 4 participants have registered for a group tour, we may reschedule or cancel the trip. In such a case, you will be informed promptly and may choose to move your booking or receive a full refund.

5. Use of Equipment and Safety

All necessary equipment (such as skates, kick-sled, boots, helmet, floating backpack and safety gear) is included in the price unless otherwise stated.
Please follow the guide’s instructions at all times. Participants are responsible for using the equipment properly and returning it in the same condition.

If weather or ice conditions are not suitable for skating, the activity may be switched to kick-sledding, postponed, or refunded.

6. Liability and Insurance

Helsingin Retkiluistelu ja Luonto is responsible for ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and in accordance with relevant regulations.
Participants are required to have their own valid personal insurance to cover possible accidents or injuries.

7. Complaints and Disputes

If you are not satisfied with your experience, please contact us as soon as possible so we can resolve the issue directly.
If a dispute cannot be resolved through mutual agreement, Finnish law will apply, and disputes may be submitted to the Consumer Disputes Board (Kuluttajariitalautakunta).
