Nordic Skate Rental (2 h) – Nobel Ice Field, Sipoo

Experience the thrill of speed and the magic of winter nature at Nobel Ice Field!
Rent high-quality, safe Nordic skating equipment and enjoy the massive winter activity park frozen over the flooded fields of Sipoo. Nordic skates are ideal for moving on natural ice, providing a stable, smooth, and easy skating experience, even for beginners.
Our rental shop is located right at the entrance of the field in a warm indoor space, where you can comfortably change your gear.
What does the rental include?
The complete equipment package includes everything you need for a safe and enjoyable experience:
Nordic skates and boots (wide variety of sizes: 26–46)
Nobel Ice Field maintenance fee (2-hour skating access to the track)
Parking at the Joensuun Tila lower parking lot (remember to register your car’s license plate number on the tablet inside the rental shop upon arrival!)
Important information and requirements:
Rental time: 2 hours at the selected time slot.
Weather dependency: Nordic skating is always subject to natural conditions. If conditions (e.g., heavy snowfall or thawing weather) prevent the use of the track, we will notify you of a cancellation or rescheduling via email. Please check your email one last time before leaving!
Opening hours: Subject to weather conditions, the rental shop is mainly open on weekends. You can find real-time updates on opening hours and ice conditions on our Facebook page.
Additional accessories: You can also rent skating poles, helmets, protective pads, and headlamps for evening skating directly on-site or as separate items.
Arrival instructions:
Address: Joensuun Tila lower parking lot, Joensuunraitti 44, 01150 Sipoo (Söderkulla).
Public transport: Extremely easy to arrive! HSL buses from Itäkeskus, as well as bus 848 from Kamppi and the U-line from Porvoo, stop right next to the park at the bus stop "Si1012 Joensuu". From there, it is only a 500-meter walk to the rental shop.
