❄️ WINTER WONDERLAND – A TRUE WINTER PLAYGROUND NEAR HELSINKI
Winter Wonderland offers an unforgettable outdoor winter experience just 30 minutes from Helsinki and Porvoo.
At the heart of the park lies a vast natural ice field, frozen over a floodplain. Thanks to the shallow water beneath the ice (only 10–70 cm), the ice forms quickly and remains exceptionally safe and stable. Our rental shop offers skates as well as traditional kicksleds. You can use also your own gear.
At the start of the season, Winter Wonderland focuses on:
Ice skating
Nordic skating on wild ice
Kick sledding
More activities and experiences will be introduced as the season progresses.
Along the ice field, you can enjoy grilled food and hot drinks, making Winter Wonderland the perfect place to combine outdoor activity with cozy winter atmosphere.
⛸ Equipment Rental
Our rental shop is conveniently located at the entrance to the ice field. We offer:
High-quality Nordic skates with boots (sizes 27–46)
Kick sleds and studded winter shoes
You are also welcome to use your own equipment. In that case, a small ice maintenance fee applies.
Both rental fees and the maintenance fee include free parking, simply register your license plate on the rental shop tablet.
🚌 Easy to reach
Winter Wonderland is easily accessible by public transport:
Frequent HSL buses from Itäkeskus
Buses from Kamppi (848) and Porvoo (U-line)
Bus stop: Si1012 Joensuu, right next to the park
Travel time from Helsinki or Porvoo is approximately 30 minutes.
